Included in every rental

Every booking automatically includes the following coverage at no extra charge.

• Third Party Liability (TPL) — Covers damage to other vehicles and property caused by the rental car.
• Theft Protection (TP) — Covers theft of the vehicle itself. A rental excess applies to theft claims.

Gold Insurance

Reduces your rental excess significantly and covers most common damage types.

• Excess reduced on collision & theft claims
• Covers body damage from most road conditions
• 2WD vehicles: €20/day • 4×4, luxury & passenger vans: €26/day

Zero Excess Insurance

Full excess waiver — you pay nothing if the vehicle is damaged or stolen, for complete peace of mind.

• Rental excess reduced to zero on all covered claims
• Covers gravel, sand & ash damage
• Covers glass & windscreen damage
• 2WD vehicles: €40/day • 4×4, luxury & passenger vans: €52/day

Rental Excess

All rentals include basic coverage, but a rental excess (deductible) applies if the vehicle is damaged or stolen.

• Economy & compact cars: 195,000 ISK
• SUVs & crossovers: 360,000 ISK
• Premium, luxury & passenger vans: 500,000 ISK
